Taylor Papadakis is an incorruptible, illustrious, and intense mixed-media artist currently based in Destin, FL. Born in Texas and raised “by wolves,” she studied English, Creative Writing, and Philosophy at Central Washington University, graduating in 2019.
During the pandemic, she began selling collages at a local dispensary-posing-as-gallery, leading to a 2022 art show at the scandalous El Corazon Winery in Walla Walla. Her evolving style—rooted in Dadaism and Surrealism—has become uniquely her own.
Taylor finds inspiration from her travels and sources materials from estate sales, family heirlooms, and her adventures across North America, Europe, and Oceania. Her great-grandmother, Valentina Anderson, a skilled textile artist, remains a major influence—Taylor often wears Valentina’s handmade quilted pieces.
She’s a first-generation college graduate, former NAIA lacrosse scoring leader, and firm believer in chasing intimidating dreams. When not creating (which is rare), she’s writing, working out, or getting tattooed.
I mix Dadaism, consumer culture, surrealism, and pop culture to create something that not only you’ve never seen before, but that is visually striking and addictive. Quite often, there are themes of “desire”, “pleasure”, “indulgence”, and “escapism”. My goal is for you to be truly obsessed with what I have created.
